Minimalist clothing is often associated with neutral colors, but there is more to minimalist design than a color palette. The shape of a garment and the details that go into it can make just as much of a difference.
At The Label, we gravitate toward simple silhouettes, clean lines and minimal detailing. Instead of adding a lot of embellishments to a design, we like to let the shape and fit of the clothing stand out.
Simple Silhouettes
A simple silhouette doesn't mean a boring one. It means the overall shape of the garment is clean and easy to understand without too many competing elements.
Our pieces tend to have streamlined shapes that can stand on their own. Whether it's a fitted dress, a matching set or a sweatsuit, we focus on the silhouette first rather than adding details just for the sake of adding them.
Clean Lines and Minimal Details
We also keep unnecessary detailing to a minimum. Clean seams, simple necklines and subtle design details help create the clean look we are known for.
That doesn't mean every piece has to be completely plain. Details like piping, ribbed textures, mesh or side stripes can add interest without overwhelming the design.
And simple is beautiful.
